About the Position: This position is with Department of Army, Expeditionary Civilian Workforce (AECW).

Duties

Oversee AECW integration in Army Commands' Exercises, Force Development and Contingency Plans. Authorized direct staff coordination with counterparts at Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), Direct Report Units (DRUs) and Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA). Represent AECW in the branding and marketing of AECW goals, objectives and capabilities; integration of Army Expeditionary Civilians into the force structure of operational plans supporting Army-wide and DoD strategic objectives. Responsible for the development, planning and execution of various special focus programs or events in keeping with DoD and Army strategic objectives. Oversees the preparation, publication, and revision of AECW policies and procedures. Meets with Senior Executive Service (SES), flag or general officers to advance organizational objectives and to resolve immediate- and long-range problems affecting the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Drug testing designated position subject to random urinalysis testing in accordance with Executive Order 12564, Drug-Free Workplace and AR 600-85, Army Substance Abuse Program.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) business travel may be required up to 25% of duty time.
