This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Employees work 4 day-10-hour work week, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm.
Duties
Processes data in the General Fund Enterprise Business System in order to provide accurate real property accountability.
Develops preventative maintenance plans and schedules, tracks work requirements.
Coordinating and scheduling the work of a variety of functions to ensure the efficient operation of the facility maintenance and assure that all organizational records reflect accurate and compliant utilization of funds
Develops and maintains equipment profiles, maintenance history, and maintenance schedules associated with individual pieces of equipment from the time of purchase until retired or replaced.
Exercises a practical knowledge of the range of equipment and machinery to identify equipment or maintenance actions.
Enters and/or reviews all data pertaining to each completed job to assure all information required is accurate and complete.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last 2 years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of eight years depending upon the needs of management.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
- Temporary Duty Travel, TDY may be required up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
GS-06: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing computer software systems to perform data entry and electronic file maintenance; 2) assisting in the development of reports; And 3) monitoring equipment and/or supply levels for organizational operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience using computer programs to prepare reports; 2) inputting data into an automated software system to plan future maintenance efforts; 3) coordinating with accounting to ensure appropriate funds are available; and 4) administering work orders to control activities of a maintenance crew This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
