This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for \DIB and MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.

Duties

Determines the situational hazards and deploys the proper equipment and personnel for dispatch requests. Serves as manager over a fleet of vehicles within a sub motor-pool area. Utilizes a personal computer to update and maintain inventory of property book items, and prepares memorandum and reports accordingly.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• The incumbent may be required to go on Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 5% of the time.
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid State Drivers' license.
• Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
• This is a Term position scheduled to last 2 years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of eight years depending upon the needs of management.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. scheduling movement of equipment; 2. using computer system to update/maintain inventory files; and 3. dispatching equipment requests per established regulations/guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
