You will serve as a SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR in the Dean of Students Office of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will organize quarterly graduation rehearsals, commencement ceremonies, and assign seating for distinguished guests, staff, faculty,
and students.
You will be eligible to be a Government Purchase Card Holder, requisitioning and researching technical specification for procurement of equipment and supplies from vendors.
You will solicit nominations for all student awards, verify eligibility, and ensure completeness of nomination packages.
You will coordinate, organize and execute quarterly student Awards, and orientation ceremonies for graduating and incoming students.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Scheduling, coordinating, and executing large high visibility special events (e.g., graduations, awards ceremonies, student orientation briefings); 2) Communicating clearly and concisely, including speaking to large groups and Senior officials and dignitaries (e.g., congressmen, high ranking federal Officials, guest speakers, etc.) that attend ceremonies and events; 3) Researching and procuring supplies utilizing a Government Purchase Card; and 4) Using software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to complete forms, reports, and certificates in accordance with established guidelines.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
