About the Position: This position is for a Watch Operations Specialist (Force Tracking) with the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command in the Tracking Mission Management Center (FT MMC), G-3 Operations located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.

Duties
Maintains integration with national-level intelligence agencies and Regional Component Command operational-level organizations in order to provide Force Tracking warfighting support for both conventional and Special Operations Forces.
Interfaces with national-level governmental agencies associated with the mission area and commercial organizations involved in the development/evolution of Force Tracking technologies and their integration into the mission.
Facilitates Force Tracking mission planning and execution activities for DOD and Other Government Agency (OGA) customer organizations.
Implements and refines mission procedures as the mission area evolves.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Drug Test Required. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Sensitive Compartmented Info. Intelligence Community Dir 704 clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires temporary travel (TDY), both CONUS and OCONUS, on very short notice.
- This position is subject to short notice recall.
- Assignment may require work/participation at unusual times (nights, holidays, and weekends). Ability to participate in rotating shift work may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes facilitating mission planning and execution activities for customer organizations; Implementing procedures within an evolving mission; Preparing presentations for briefings; Coordinating with national agencies for collection of mission information; and assuring the quality dissemination to organizational or unit supervisor/commander. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
