This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Employee Services Division. As a Human Resources Assistant (OA), you will provide consultative advisory services on a variety of human resources programs and systems to supervisors, managers, Administrative Resource Center (ARC), and other human resources specialists in support of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's human resources program. .

Duties

As a Human Resources Assistant (OA), you will: Perform a wide variety of technical support duties in the HR functional areas of Recruitment and Placement, Benefits, and general employment processes and services. Provide research and set-up for alternative external recruitment avenues. This includes websites, onsite visits, recruitment/outreach events, etc. Assist Specialists with preparation of new employee orientation by ensuring new hire packages are available for all new hires, speakers contacted, and rooms reserved. Serve as a liaison with the shared service center Employee Benefits Branch regarding the submission of benefit documentation; assisting employees with the submission of documents such as retirement (disability, voluntary, etc.), TSP, and beneficiaries. Use personnel computer, word processing and/or other office automation equipment and various software programs to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve and print a variety of documents; produce correspondence, memoranda, directives, forms reports; create or maintain spreadsheets or databases, etc. Serve as a records management liaison for the Employment Services Division.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Assisting with human resource processes such as recruiting, and placement AND - Applying Human Resources regulations, laws and guidance AND - Utilizing a human resources automated system.
