This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Immediate Office of the Secretary (IOS), Office of Business Operations (OBO), located in Washington, District of Columbia.

Duties

Managing a broad range of administrative and program functions, including protocol, official events, procurement, preparing financial summaries and related activities. Providing policy and procedural guidance for senior leaders and other personnel on proper protocol requirements for visiting dignitaries, military ceremonies, conferences, official meetings, and social function. Planning and coordinating agency-hosted events and meetings, ensuring adherence to decorum and traditions in various official settings.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Specialized Experience: GS-12: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing 3 of the 4 duties listed below: Providing guidance to senior leaders on protocols for visiting dignitaries and military ceremonies Coordinating agency-hosted events and meetings Overseeing property management from receipt to disposal Handling acquisition tasks such as tracking transactions, procuring equipment and services, and preparing financial statements.
