About the Position: Serve as the Chief Plans Branch/Operations and Plans Staff Officer, advisor, subject matter expert (SME), and integrator with full responsibility for all activities involved in the management of operations, plans and special projects in support of the U.S. Army Human Resources Command (USAHRC) Officer Personnel Management Directorate (OPMD), Operations, Plans and Distribution Division, Operations and Plans Branch (OPB).
Duties
Manage and coordinate the development, coordination, and synchronization of operational orders, force structure changes, deployment orders, personnel policy revisions, and ensure the integration into the officer distribution process.
Provide for the coordination between the commands for all matters relative to operations, plans, and special projects assigned to the branch.
Serve as the primary advisor on officer readiness issues and provides oversight to the OPMD Army Strategic Readiness Update (ASRU) preparation.
Set priorities, plan, guide, and assign work to subordinates based upon workload and abilities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
