About the Position: This is a permanent position for a Management and Program Analyst located with US Army Central G38 Force Management Section Readiness Shaw AFB, SC. Full performance level of this position is GS-13.
Note: Promotion to the full performance grade will be at management's discretion following completion of time-in-grade requirements, training, fully successful performance, and acquired and demonstrated experience.
Duties
Prepares and conducts both oral and written briefings on unit status trends, and readiness areas of interest for the command.
Participates in the execution and technical assessments of readiness studies conducted from research perspective within the Readiness Section.
Assists in the development of policy for pursuing research investigations into various readiness issues in support of USARCENT’s mission requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Secret security clearance required.
- 20% temporary duty (TDY) required.
- One-year employee probationary period may be required if not already completed in accordance with 5 CFR criteria.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) assisting in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidance for the organization; 2) assisting with readiness productivity, quality management, and organizational readiness improvements; 3) maintaining organizational readiness programs and databases; and 4) reporting on unit readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
