About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the 7th Signal Command, 106th Signal Brigade, Command Section located at FORT HUACHUCA, AZ.

Duties

Supervises a group of employees engaged in Cybersecurity functions, planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities, and scheduling completion Supervises and monitors the functions of civilian IT specialists and contractors involved with providing IT network security system administration and training support. Ensures all systems connected to the networks meet all established requirements, to include Risk Management Framework (RMF), Continuous Monitoring, and Networthiness accreditation. Performs Certification and Accreditation duties for all associated installation Information Systems (IS) and networks IAW with RMF, Continuous Monitoring, and configuration management policies and practices before operating or authorizing the use of hardware and software on an IS or network infrastructure. Evaluates the Cybersecurity program resources within the installation and initiates programming, budgeting, and manpower actions to address requirements.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
• One year of supervisory probationary period may be required.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Failure to do so may result in separation for the efficiency of the Federal Service.
• This is a designated as IT Level I IAW with AR25-2 and IAM II
• Overtime may be required on short nice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements.
• This position requires routine and reoccurring access to classified Sevret collateral information, materials, facilities and systems. Position is designated as non-critical sensitive,
• moderate risk position with elevated rights to Fort Huachuca systems.

AND Conducting technical reviews of cybersecurity projects to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
