Duties
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB),Office of the Administrator.
As a Senior Advisor, you will:
Develop policies and implement strategies to support the TTB mission through analysis, development, and/or contributing meaningfully to Office of the Administrator efforts in high-profile arenas and high-tempo operational environments
Facilitate coordination between the Office of the Administrator and TTB as a whole.
On behalf of the Administrator and Deputy Administrator, negotiates with senior leaders from across TTB's directorates to obtain needed resources and support for the Bureau's strategic goals and objectives.
Review, evaluate, and prepare reports on emerging issues and problems concerning policies, programs, and operations; analyzes current developments.
Review and analyze TTB policy objectives, determining possible impacts on the Office of the Administrator and TTB directorates and providing options and potential courses of action for consideration by senior leadership.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience MUST be listed in your resume.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Conducing communication related to tobacco and alcohol tax regulation sufficient to represent the head of an organization to state and local government officials, professional groups, or high-ranking officials in the private sector and small business community; AND
- Planning and executing projects relevant to organizational goals and operational objectives to improve the overall efficiency of an organization whose focus includes tobacco and alcohol tax regulation; AND
- Improving an organizations quality management programs; AND
- Implementing or managing records management mandates.
