This position is located at the Fort Yuma Service Unit, in Winterhaven, California. The primary purpose of the position is to perform a variety administrative and routine technical duties associated with the Property and Supply operations for the Fort Yuma Service Unit. Work involves functions necessary for the efficient management of an office, procurement and information control to ordering and tracking equipment, supplies and services. Incumbent will report to the Support Services Supervisor.
Duties
Incumbent receives, assesses, routes, or otherwise handles incoming and outgoing materials such as controlled or routine correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
Maintain stock control records, issues, receipts, storage allocation, stock control levels, variance and inventory adjustments using a Supply Management System.
Purchasing supplies, equipment, and other materials utilizing prescribed purchasing guidelines and procedures. Follows-up on and tracks expenditures and ensures prompt payment.
Responsible for proper utilization of all vehicles; performs periodic maintenance check of all vehicles assigned to the facility for mechanical condition and requests necessary repairs from GSA.
Knowledge and understanding of established and standardized policies and procedures related to hospital operation as they related to the clerical, administrative and financial functions involved.
Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Greets all incoming (internal and external) customers in a friendly, professional manner. Sorts and prepares incoming and outgoing mail for the Area Office. Prepares, coordinates, and completes travel arrangements for Division staff. Schedules meetings and tracks vehicle use, and conference room availability.-OR-
Successfully completed four (4) years of education beyond the high school level. Education is obtained from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Must submit Transcripts)

A combination of education and experience when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience required. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for the GS-05 grade level. (Must submit Transcripts)
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Prepares ad hoc and reoccurring reports, forms, correspondence, and presentation materials which may include complex graphs, charts, and tabular material. Compiles, organizes and tracks program data which may include statistical information in support of the program operations. Gathers travel information and ensures travel authorizations and vouchers are processed timely by utilizing designated travel programs.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
