About the Position: This is a permanent position located at U.S. Army Cadet Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G3, G37/CST Division at Fort Knox
Duties
Plan and execute Cadet Summer Training (CST) at Fort Knox, Kentucky ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory guidance.
Manage CST Master Manning Document and Request for Forces, maintains exercise timelines, and conducts reviews and rehearsals
Manage projects from inception to completion, creating project task lists, establishing work interrelationships, and maintaining project schedules and costs.
Serve as a staff planning officer, overseeing special events, hosting visitors, conducting briefings, and coordinating after-action reviews.
Plan project control phases, ensuring compliance with criteria, regulations, and procedures.
Advise on improving work methods, management controls, and administrative functions within the G37.
Collect and report project execution data and recommends solutions for conflicts and non-compliance.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, attends meetings, and arranges support for CST.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires business travel up to 10% of the time.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a one year probationary period.

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves coordinating project tasks within a team to establish the project baseline schedule for management review, reviewing project data in order to research regulations and recommend solutions AND monitoring phases of project control to ensure compliance with regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as administrative management. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
