Duties

As an Energy Industry Analyst (Pipeline), some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.

Qualifications

Candidates must be ICTAP eligible or VEOA eligible for this vacancy and be at least well-qualified, i.e. candidates must fall within the Well Qualified or Best Qualified category rating group. You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience leading division and multi-office project teams and conducting analysis regarding issues related to the regulation of the oil and/or natural gas pipeline industry such as: transportation service proposals; gas storage service; five-year index review, rate of return and proxy group analysis, initial rates in section 7 applications and/or oil pipeline proceedings, and changes to tariff terms and conditions of service.  Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
