Duties
As a Supervisory Regional Relocation Specialist, you will:
Provides supervision to ten Regional Relocation Specialists who serve as subject matter technical experts providing advisory guidance, training, and technical assistance to Departmental program officials and to Federal, State, and/or Local Government officials and staff. Review staff work and provide supervision, direction, oversight, guidance, and support to staff.
Develops, recommends, and negotiates policy positions, as well as implementing short- and long-term goals to meet new or changing legislative or regulatory requirements across a portfolio of community development and housing programs.
Advises and develops management tools and techniques for compliance monitoring and ensuring that the mitigating measures required in ensuring compliance with URA requirements are effectively measured and implemented.
Advises on the development and implementation of internal management agreements and related actions to improve office coordination, collaboration, and effectiveness.
Represents the Division in meetings with key Departmental staff. Represents the Department on federal inner-agency working groups, including explaining and defending program policies, and providing updates on current program issues.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Team lead or supervise a team of community development OR housing program staff;
AND includes meeting one of the two:
-Serve as a subject matter technical expert related to community development, housing, or real estate acquisition and relocation programmatic policies; OR
-Serve as a subject matter technical expert that develops and delivers programmatic technical assistance, training, and advisory guidance to Federal, State, or local interested parties.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
