You will serve as a MARINE BAND PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the MARINE BAND BRANCH of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will provide day to day solutions, recommendations, administrative and operational support for assignments, programs, and projects. You will states, defends, and enforces policies, public laws, and operational issues as it relates to Marine Band matters. You will reviews and analyze administrative directives and policies to determine impact on operations and recommend revised policies, publications, and procedures for implementation. You will evaluate the effectiveness of administrative policies, procedures, and regulations. You will serve as the Program Specialist responsible for the oversight, control and execution of the U.S. Marine Band’s educational music programs. You will serves as a data management expert and primary point of contact for tracking for the programs assigned.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in administrative and operational support for military programs and projects AND assisting in researching policies and directives for informed decision making. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
