This position is in Office of Mission Support; Office of Human Capital Operations; Executive and Employee Services Division; Executive Services Branch. About the Office of Mission Support | US EPA. This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).*EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as providing technical advice to customers on executive human resources cases and issues; leading a team or project to improve organizational processes. Your application package will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of executive human resources Skill in problem-solving Skill in oral communication Ability to identify and propose solutions to HR problems and issues Ability to analyze executive services questions and make recommendations to management Ability to evaluate the progress and quality of work Ability to lead a team of lower-graded staff Skill in program analysis Skill in written communication Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
