You will serve as the lead Antisubmarine Warfare (ASW) Engineering Technician and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Acoustic Training and Simulation (ATaS) lab at Naval Support ActivityNAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Duties
You will support the planning, installation, integration, tuning, and test of the ATaS suite of products at
training sites and contractor facilities.
You will work with Lead Engineers, contactors and other government agencies in troubleshooting and resolving acoustics deficiencies on ASW training systems.
You will serve as a team lead within the assigned organizational group and performs team lead duties at least 25% of the time.
You will Lead the team in: identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
You will provide onsite training on how to use the ATaS suite of products to include products that reside
with the ATaS suite, such as CASE, NGTS, and JSAF.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1)Performing as a Training Simulation Lab Leader ; 2) Experience in aviation, surface and subsurface warfare (ASW); 3) Experience leading the design, of original and customized software, tool sets, and hardware components to solve a wide range of ASW training system research, development, and lifecycle support requirements; 4) Effectively communicate with all customers to collect requirements and funding needs; 5) Lead a team of various disciplines to execute projects.
