Duties
Typical work assignments include:
Serves as a senior analyst who assists the Regional Director, the Chief, Protective Security Advisor, and the Supervisor, Operations and Integration Specialist to develop internal staff operational meeting schedules during disaster response operations.
Collaborates with Federal Emergency Support Function staff in disaster field offices to share information on infrastructure and facility damage status, collect data, and share the results of infrastructure dependency analyses.
Coordinates with the Regional Planner on Regional Headquarters Incident Management Response Plans and Annexes that align with CISA and IOD doctrine and incident management planning methodology.
Develops situation reports for emerging incidents in collaboration with PSAs, CSAs, CSIs, and ECCs and the Regional Headquarters Operations Branch staff. Informs CISA Central of incidents involving impacts to critical infrastructure facilities and systems.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level, if you have:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
Managing incident response operations, including drills and simulations, field planning and execution efforts for National Special Security Events and Special Event Activity Rating Events; AND
Analyzing, making decisions and presenting recommendations to assist Regional Directors in identifying shortfalls for corrective action; AND
Interpreting infrastructure protection, policies, regulations, and precedents.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Must live or be relocated by Entrance on Duty within 50 miles of the duty location indicated on the announcement.
