This National Guard position is for an HR ASST (MILITARY) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5044000 and is part of the FL DCSPER, National Guard.
Duties
As an HR ASST (MILITARY), GS-0203-07, you will serve as a final reviewer of actions, which may include but are not limited to: accessions, promotions, transfers, boards, promotion eligibility; retirement eligibility; and actions that affect eligibility of educational or incentive benefits as well as sensitive, complex cases, which involve: allegations of inequitable, prejudiced, or similar treatment (e.g. issues of fraudulent enlistment or assignment; removal of military member from active or inactive status). Cases have major effects on career or service as they may result in unfavorable career separation or loss of status. Perform final review on file prior to review and action by a board, action officer, or others and ensure that all levels of legal, medical, and administrative review have been completed. Summarize salient facts and issues; analyze case information; outline options; and recommend appropriate action. Ensure that regulatory requirements related to the specific action are met. Identify gaps or inconsistencies in the record and initiate actions or interviews personnel to obtain needed data.

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to US citizens interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements as a Human Resources Specialist.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Must have at least one year experience at the GS-05 level, in the normal line of progression through federal service or equivalent experience in federal civilian or military personnel programs. Must have experience in executing personnel programs and Human Resources Information Systems, as applicable to the specific position and its position description.
