About the Position: This position is with the US ARMY LEGAL SERVICES AGENCY, PROCUREMENT FRAUD DIVISION located at FORT BELVOIR, VIRGINIA

Duties

Review and analyze various documents including Federal Suspension and Debarment Lead Agency Requests, contractor spending data and investigative documents. Assist action attorneys in the research and recommendation of appropriate action/resolution of issues to the Department of the Army Suspension and Debarment official. Assist in general preparation of Suspension and Debarment administrative records for administrative proceedings before the Suspension and Debarment Official. Assist in the preparation of evaluations and recommendations to the Army Suspension and Debarment Official.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Position requires a Secret clearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service includes prepare documentation on administrative actions; schedule virtual meetings through platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.gov; and assist with coordination of contract fraud cases. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as law and legal studies. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcript). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administrative LawLegal, Government and JurisprudenceManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
