You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the Navy Recruiting Department of NRD MINNEAPOLIS.

Duties

You will serve as a senior advisor for assigned military and civilian employees. You will monitor status and progress of work and make day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities. You will research and/or provide factual information regarding directly applicable rules, regulations, procedures and requirements to provide explanations of action taken or recommended. You will interview personnel to obtain data needed to complete actions. You will ensure all required forms, records, and files pertaining to assigned work are obtained and maintained.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying personnel policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain personnel records; 2) Researching information in personnel records and databases to respond to inquiries regarding human resources issues; 3) Utilizing automated systems to create and maintain personnel records; and 4) Providing direct customer service to customers in a team-focused environment. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying personnel policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain personnel records; and 2) Utilizing automated systems to create and maintain personnel records; and 3) Providing direct customer service to customers in a team-focused environment.
