You will serve as a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.

Duties

You will perform modeling and simulation, analyze results, and formulate insights, conclusions, and recommendations to inform studies and analysis. You will apply mastery and expertise in the techniques to be used in organizing, representing, modeling and analyzing problems including use of statistical packages to conduct post processing of model data You will advise commanders and staffs on the outcome of statistical analysis of modeled readiness effectiveness and the implications for mission requirements You will act as a principal authority and team leader on contracting for operations research studies in assigned areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Applying quantitative and qualitative techniques in a wide range of analytical applications; 2) Applying advanced modeling and simulation techniques to solve complex optimization problems; 3) Leading operational assessments of military requirements; 4) Mentoring and guiding junior military and civilian analysts; 5) Developing operational and strategic level assessment products in support of Command planning staff; 6) Developing and presenting both oral and written assessment findings to Flag Officers and Senior Executives. Degree: in operations research;

OR

At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours MUST have been in calculus.
