This position is located at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in the Facility Operations Division. This position is also open to Public (U.S. Citizens and Non-Citizens) under announcement: IM-1541-GLCA-24-12501842-DE

Duties

Works with supervisor to plan weekly work schedules and sequences of operations of the Downlake District. (Wahweap and Lees Ferry Water Treatment Plant) Performs non-supervisory work requiring the use of a variety of trade practices similar to those lead with minimal supervision: Repairs and installs utility systems. Performs plumbing on water tanks and floats, potable water systems and related equipment such as mains, valves, storage tanks. Performs electrical wiring necessary to maintain existing single or three phase. Work Independently in a Water Treatment Plant with minimal supervision. Ensure all regulatory compliance is completed on time and follows all daily requirements set forth from the state of Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.

Selective Placement - The existence of Moto Vehicle Operator duties requires a valid Driver's License. Provide a copy of your Driver's License and/or provide license information in your application/resume. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to Entry-On-Duty. Failure to provide verification of license will result in your application receiving no further consideration. (Screen-Out) To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. In preparing your application, describe in detail the experience and training which you have had that specifically prepared you for this job and to perform the duties described for this job. Experience should be clearly described and documented in your resume reflecting you can independently perform the following without more than normal supervision: (1) repaired and installed utility systems, (2)performed plumbing on water tanks and floats, potable water systems and related equipment such as mains, valves, storage tanks, (3)performed electrical wiring necessary to maintain existing single or three phase, (4) maintained state water and wastewater licenses.
