Duties
Maintain and repair equipment and facilities in an industrial environment requiring intermediate up to advanced level of facility maintenance skill in a variety of trades, including masonry, concrete, carpentry, welding, plumbing, painting, and mechanical.
Perform work independently and as a member of a work team consisting of different trades, and/or by providing technical direction to co-workers or helpers.
Operate and use a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools, such as cranes, welders, farm tractors, motorboats, forklifts, motorized man-lifts, light trucks, front-end loaders, road grader, tractor-trailer rig, large trucks with snowplows, impact wrenches, grinders, etc.
Comply with safety instructions and regulations, ensuring individual's safety and promptly reporting unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents to the supervisor.

Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 04/10/2024.
