About the Position: This position is with the 1st Mission Support Command, located in Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.
Duties
Interpret policies, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance within the organization.
Assist and provide the agency guidance and interpretation of procedural and preparatory requirements on various programs and benefits.
Provide advice and assistance on complex workforce management issues.
Participate in the unit’s operations, planning, and orders processes.
Act as labor/management/employee/relations representative for the agency.
Provide advice to the agency about bargaining units.
Coordinate all aspects of personnel action with subordinate units and servicing civilian personnel office.
Initiate and monitor all request for personnel action.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting administrative and personnel regulations; advising management on hiring needs/deficiencies; coordinating aspects of requests for personnel actions; and assisting in the implementation of recommendations for programs, policies, and hiring actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
