NIA, one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of NIH, leads the Federal government in conducting and supporting research on aging and the health and well-being of older people. The Institute seeks to understand the nature of aging and the aging process, and diseases and conditions associated with growing older, in order to extend the healthy, active years of life.
Duties
Ensure that the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team’s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
Develop and implement comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of day-to-day and long-range projects, actions and activities for the assigned organization.
Responsible for developing detailed plans for performing program evaluation in assigned areas, such as grants review, program support management, financial management, procurement and quality assurance.
Analyze, develop criteria for, and evaluate policies and procedures affecting organizational program objectives.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1.) Training staff members on program work, projects, and procedures 2.) Resolving administrative issues to improve assigned programs. 3.) Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate a program's effectiveness. 4.) Managing workload and tasks of the office in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks.
