The Senior Operations Officer, in the Architect of the Capitol’s (AOC), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is a principal advisor to the to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) regarding administrative strategy, policy and program analysis, resources management, and business support. The Officer also provides guidance and administrative oversight of complex and diverse mission support functions to ensure that organizational goals are achieved.
Duties
Providing expert guidance to the CFO, and senior staff related to policies, priorities, practices and procedures, assuring a smooth and efficient operation of overall OCFO and AOC management actions.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Candidates for the GS-15 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-14) grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position must demonstrate the following:
Advising senior staff and stakeholders on strategic operations, program management and administrative issues that support the critical mission of an organization.
Implementing innovative solutions to complex issues in a variety of management programs (e.g. policy, information technology, financial management, human capital management, support services and other administrative functions) for a Federal agency or large organization.
Developing and implementing process improvements and cross-functional initiatives in support of organizational programs, operations and strategic goals.
