About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Army Field Support Battalion at Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Maintain communication with the Logistics Contracting Officer Representative (LCOR) and EAGLE Logistics contractor.
Assist customer units with Lateral Transfer process.
Review customer complaints and verify the contractor has recorded the complaints, resolved the issues, and satisfied the customers’ needs, within the scope of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Report unresolved issues or contract violations.
Monitor, prepare and evaluate changes to the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP), Performance Work Statement (PWS), historical workload, performance standards and technical exhibits in support of the mission.
Prepare surveillance forms and reports for submission to the Logistics Contracting Officer Representative (LCOR).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Tier 1 background investigation.
- This position may require temporary travel up to 20% for official travel.
- This position requires a pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R. OGE Form 450 used to assist agencies to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy to evaluate the implementation and/or effectiveness of quality/inspection systems; (2) identifying inadequacies and requesting corrective action; (3) computing data and/or summarizing results to prepare reports or charts depicting pertinent relationships using statistical methods; and (4) investigating customer complaints and/or deficiency reports to provide identification of causes to appropriate authorities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as: quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
