This position is with the Small Business Administration, GCBD-Area 4-Chicago in Chicago, IL. The incumbent ensures that small business concerns obtain a fair share of contracts, commodities and real and/or personal property handled by the federal government.

Qualifications
GS-13
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector, which must include:
(1.) Independently applying and interpreting knowledge of federal procurement small business laws, regulations, policies and procedures to support businesses for compliance with regulations pertaining to federal contracts or subcontracts; AND
(2.) Conducting and evaluating market research to discern whether small business concerns have the requisite capabilities (financial, managerial, technical, etc.) to successfully perform a specific Federal contract; AND
(3.) Sourcing requirements to determine qualified sources focusing on those entities that qualify as small business concerns; AND
(4.) Developing and implementing strategies for increasing small business participation for the program requirements, i.e., contracts.
