This position is with the Small Business Administration, Office of International Trade in Chicago, Illinois. Provide guidance to U.S. small businesses on entering international markets through trade development and export finance programs.

Duties

This position is ONLY open to surplus and displaced Small Business Administration employees eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP); displaced Federal employees in the local commuting area eligible for the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP); and VEOA eligibles. To be eligible for CTAP or ICTAP consideration, you may only apply for a position that is at or below the grade level, and does not have greater promotion potential, of the position from which you are being (or have been) separated. The International Trade and Finance Specialist performs the following key duties:

• You must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
• You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications

GS-14 Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service) obtained in either the Public or Private sector that includes the following: (1) Origination, underwriting and/or structuring of secured loans (e.g. commercial and industrial loans); asset-based loans (ABL); and/or structured trade finance products; AND (2) Serving as a relationship manager, loan officer, loan product portfolio manager, or program director at the assistant vice president level or higher in a financial institution, financial services company, or federal agency. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.
