Employee will be assigned to Environmental Management Service, VA Health Care System, San Diego, CA (La Jolla Facility). Employee will be responsible for planning, implementing, and carrying out a complete and comprehensive integrated pest management program for the Medical Center.

Qualifications
Certification: Must possess a current and valid state Pesticide Applicator certification. Please submit a copy of your certification with your application to receive credit.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: May lift and handle material weighing over 50 pounds and carries chemical solutions weighing up to 40 pounds for extended periods. Employee may work in cramped and uncomfortable positions. Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in uncomfortable conditions may be encountered. May move furniture, equipment, etc., as part of the treatment process.Employee may complete assignments indoors or outdoors. May encounter heat, cold, dust, dirt, mud, unpleasant odors, etc. May be exposed to areas with minimal ventilation and/or limited access. May be required to wear necessary safety equipment (i.e., respirators, gloves, and other personal protective devices) while completing and preparing all applications.
