About the Position: Serves as a Transportation Assistant (OA) at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Fort Stewart GA.
Duties
Serve as a Transportation Assistant (OA) at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA).
Maintain accountability of the organization’s non-tactical vehicle (NTV) fleet.
Maintain control, operation, preventive maintenance, safety, driver training and utilization of the organization’s vehicle fleet.
Provide all transportation needs in support of the organization.
Provide local policy and regulatory guidance to the Logistics Chief on the general utilization and maintenance of vehicles.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position is designated as moderate risk involving Public Trust. Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the positions.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Travel Required: Up to 5% business travel required

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least One yearof specialized experience which includes preparing reports for non-tactical vehicle (NTV) repairs and inspections and dispatch NTV vehicles utilizing automation software to input vehicle data to maintain fleet management data; and managing supplies and inventory to support the organizational mission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
