Duties
As a Business Analyst, you will:
Support the mission and responsibilities of the Office of Securities Operations through considerable and comprehensive support of projects, enhancements, and Risk Control Self-Assessment Reporting, as well as business process mapping/engineering efforts.
Document requirements traceability throughout project lifecycle; this includes business, task, and workflow processes using industry standard methods including business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, diagrams, flow charts, etc.; ensure that these deliverables can be used to design a solution to the stated business problem.
Act as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants, and other governmental organizations, in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of case management systems to ensure optimal operational performance.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Developing policy or procedural changes based on applicable laws, regulations, and industry customs for the management of a program working with Mortgage-Backed Securities or in the housing finance industry; AND
- Conducting business analyses to identify alternative approaches to implementing new programs or products, and to identify enhancements to existing business processes; AND
- Preparing recommendations to senior management as to the best implementation approach for new programs, policies, and enhancements to business processes.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
