You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (RESUSCITATION) in the Director Professional Education, Education and Training of NMRTC PORTSMOUTH VA.

Duties
You will serve as the Basic Life Support Administrator for Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and its BLS satellite/affiliate sites.
You will prepare course materials for short and repetitive courses including training agendas, outlines, handouts, charts, and reports as necessary.
You will ensure compliance of equipment, supplies, materials and consumable infection control policies.
You will use established automated systems to enter, maintain, and retrieve data to compile reports and monitor projects, courses and individual statuses.
You will complete and submit monthly department statistics as required.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Must be qualified and maintain certification as a AHA BLS Instructor.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Mentoring and assisting other BLS Instructor in a classroom and skills station preparation, including developing and arranging classrooms, training aids, class materials and equipment;
Preparing course materials for short and repetitive courses including training agendas, handouts, charts, and reports as necessary;
Organizing existing data and sources to obtain additional information for use during classes;
Using automated tracking systems to capture and retain data for reporting; AND
Conducting formal and informal briefings for audiences such as new staff and faculty on Basic Life Support programs.
