This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Employee Benefits Security Administration. There is one vacancy in each location: Boston, MA and San Francisco, CA. Duties

The incumbent formulates and administers a regional civil and criminal enforcement program and a participant and compliance outreach, education and assistance program (including short and long-range strategic plans, policies, strategies, program goals and priorities) which: 1) Address specific regional enforcement issues and industry trends; 2) Are compatible with Agency and Department policies, goals, and strategies and legal and regulatory mandates; 3) Include assistance or litigation to bring about compliance with ERISA requirement and related Federal laws, and 4) Ensure maximum success in the accomplishment of EBSA's annual agency management plan.

Candidates must possess technical and management experience and have developed the knowledge and skills required for effective performance of the specific duties of the position. Candidates must have had experience at a major management level (normally equivalent to the GS-15 level in the federal service). All competitive candidates for SES positions with the Federal Government must demonstrate leadership experience indicative of senior executive-level management capability. A comprehensive knowledge of: (a) ERISA and related civil and criminal laws, regulations, precedents, polices, and legal decisions, and (b) the current civil and criminal investigative techniques, methods and procedures. 3. Executive experience identifying and achieve efficiencies in investigative processes, inquiry/assistance disposition, and administrative processes.
