Duties
You will be responsible for ensuring coordinated documentation with other administrators so that all needed
information about computer resources is quickly and easily accessible.
You will assist in the setup and management of print resources.
You will troubleshoot print problems at the print server, printer and client print software level when necessary.
You will assist division and branch personnel in managing backups of their mission critical data.
You will be responsible for the installation of operating software and software packages on hardware platforms for application to research projects.
You will supervise all other division IT personnel and also coordinate with administrative personnel at the division and Laboratory level.
You will develop and maintain resources and processes which enhance ability of subordinates to effectively carry out their duties.
You will participate as a member of the system design team to ensure implementation of appropriate system security policies.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail;
(2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services;
(3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately;
(4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (NO-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Implementing innovative solutions for efficient monitoring, updating, and patching software systems vulnerabilities through commercial or freely available means; 2) Conducting vulnerability assessments of planned systems to identify security protection needs; 3) Applying security measures to and maintaining computer systems, computer networks, servers, and related infrastructure; and 4) Ensuring backup procedures are maintained to reach confident retention of a systems critical data.
