About the Position: This is a permanent position located at U.S. Army Cadet Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G3, G37/CST Division at Fort Knox in Hardin, KY.
Duties
Develop improvements on the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar management functions.
Works under the general supervision or as a team leader, independently performing assignments within the scope of established policy and regulatory guidance.
Schedules, conducts, and participates in in-progress reviews, planning workshops, conferences, and exercise rehearsals of concept (ROC) drills.
Attends coordination meetings and arranges support from external agencies.
Analyzes tasks to establish work interrelationships and to establish the project baseline schedule for G37 and USACC Chain of Command review.
Prepares project documents for the G37 and research regulations, directives, and identifies conflicts, non-compliance, and recommends potential solutions.
Helps make continuing review and studies of incoming project planning, execution, and related material and program activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires business travel up to 10% of the time.
- Employees are required to attend C3PO 3rd week from EOD at Fort Knox.

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves assisting in the full scope of each project from inception through completion such as coordinating project tasks within a team to establish the project baseline schedule for management review, reviewing project data in order to research regulations and recommend solutions AND monitoring phases of project control to ensure compliance with regulations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as administrative management. (Transcripts must be attached).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
