Duties

Perform intake for behavioral health patients to determine the mental, emotional, or behavioral needs. Obtain a thorough clinical history through interviews and medical records. Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is an inclement weather position. The incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions.
• This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
• This position requires the incumbent to work rotating shifts, extended hours, weekends, holidays and/or other schedules common to hospital operations.
• Must obtain within 30 days of employment and maintain certification through the America Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of % of the time.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• Must obtain within 6 months of employment and maintain Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior (PMBD) required training.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes establishing case files; gathering and organizing data; and administering or scoring tests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Psychology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
