About the Position: As a Budget Analyst you will perform a wide range of financial, analytical, and management functions within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management and Comptroller) [OASA(FM&C)]. You will be responsible for the budgeting, formulation, integration, justification, and defense of wide range of programs within, Operation and Maintenance (OMA) appropriation.

Duties

Review and analyze authorization and appropriation legislation for impact to the OMA appropriation. Perform a wide range of financial, analytical, and management functions related to the day-to-day management of the OMA appropriation and supported organizations. Support independent analysis of program, budget, and financial data as they relate to OMA; make recommendations to ASA (FM and C) and Army Leaders on current year OMA issues.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is a Level 2 Financial Management certified position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
