This position is located in the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Associate Administrator for Management and Budget, Human Resources Division. A successful candidate in this position will serve as Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), planning and directing personnel systems management operations. This position is Term Not-to-Exceed 2 years; eligible for all federal benefits.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS In order to qualify for a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), NQ-201-03, GS-13/14 equivalent, you must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NNSA pay band NQ-02 or GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Performing integration and configuration management on HR systems for an organization; evaluating and testing HR information systems software; developing and reviewing reports and analyses; implementing and coordinating project plans and activities to meet an organization's objectives; evaluating the performance of a project team for an organization; presenting information regarding new services to customers; and advising system users on operational and policy changes on automated HR information systems. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must meet all of the requirements as described in this section. If you are eligible for career transition assistance plans such as ICTAP or CTAP, you must meet the definition of "well qualified" which is defined as having a score of 85 or better. You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
