About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army National Guard Readiness Center, ARNG Chief of Staff, Gacility Services, in Arlington, Virginia. About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.

Duties

Plan and direct comprehensive programs for the operation, maintenance, repair and improvement of the facility and to provide expert advice on space issues for the National Guard Bureau and its Directorates. Plan and provide recommendations for major agency moves and new operating policies, procedures, and expenditures. Integrate necessary safety and security measures and makes certain that adequate building systems are available. Provide expert assistance on major planning problems and in formulating efficient and economical space operations policies, criteria, and procedures for space assignment projects. Develop, evaluate, and implement immediate and long-range goals, objectives, plans and schedules to meet substantial changes in program authority and/or funding.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position may be required to work overtime.
  • This position may be required to work overtime on an emergency basis.
  • This position may be required to serve as a Contracting Officers Representative (COR).
  • This position may serve as an installation project manager.
  • This position may be required to escort and supervise vendors in classified areas.
