This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15.
Duties
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP Application Architect is responsible for providing solution, business process and technical expertise in the design, development and implementation of the GFEBS and GFEBS-SA ERP solutions.
Develop solutions for enhancements, upgrade, problem analysis and resolution, database management, SAP configuration and performance tuning for a complex system landscape.
Serve as a recognized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Application subject matter expert (SME) and the functional and technical authority providing expert advice to senior leadership.
Meet with primary stakeholders to coordinate the activities of the customer/user teams working on the analysis and provide technical expertise on hardware, software and architecture.
Facilitate and translate customer requirements into technical project requirements and coordinates with other team resources, developers and Project Managers (PMs) to support the implementation of plans.
Coordinate with the functional and business teams to discuss, design, maintain, and/or build robust/efficient and effective software designs and solutions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent can be required to work irregular duty hours to include working nights, weekends and holidays.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Sensitive Compartmented Information
security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

In addition to the competencies, one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-3/GS-13) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Leading System Applications and Products (SAP) Functional design, integration, and implementation efforts for at least one Army SAP ERP system. 2) Resolving functional software issues related to SAP applications ABAP code, configuration or performance tuning for at least one Army ERP system 3) Analyzing and developing solutions for Functional processes based on analysis of customer requirements. 4) Guiding a team by overseeing design solutions and problem analysis for Army ERP SAP Business Process Modules with experience in the following SAP modules to include, but not limited to, Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Funds Management (FM), Cost Management (CM), Spending Chain (SC)/Procurement, Reimbursables Management (RM)/Sales & Distribution, Plant, Property, and Equipment (PP&E) and Project Systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band/grade level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-12/13).
