About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Serve as a Stand-Alone Network Enterprise Center (SANEC) Division Chief over the CyberSecurity Division (CSD).

Duties

Provide leadership in C4IM and IT, implementing and supporting theater and enterprise initiatives, projects, and programs for defining, evolving, evaluating, and improving information management functions across supported organizations. Utilize available resources to execute projects designed to create business value and meet organizational IT requirements. Apply proven management principles and functional IT expertise in the delivery of C4IM services. Ensure appropriate analyses are conducted to provide planning, programming, and budget guidance and facilitate the identification and determination of alternative ways to achieve program objectives within fiscal constraints. Manage short- and long-term operations plans. Anticipate and prepare for military contingencies or surges in workload by creating/promoting mechanisms to accommodate ongoing evolution of customer requirements. Identify operational deficiencies and recommends priorities for modernization. Provide supervision through assigned subordinate supervisors in the daily operations to direct, coordinate, and oversee C4IM services.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET eligibility with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• The IT classification for this position is IT III. Position is designated as Special Sensitive.
• Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter according to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
• This is an Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program position. Incumbent (or Selectee) is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the certification/recertification for this position.

• Call-back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
