Duties
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy.
As a Supervisory Patent Information Technology Specialist, you provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to USPTO management officials and other technical specialist on critical IT issues. You identify deficiencies and proposes solutions to problems anticipated, performs cost/benefits analyses for these solutions, recommends the proper course of action, and develops plans to implement the solutions. You give advice, counsel or instruction to individual employees, hearing and resolving complaints, effecting minor disciplinary measures, aid identifying developmental and training needs for employees. You effectively develop and implement operating policies, procedures and support program requirements. You lead and plan a wide range of management principles and techniques including project management, planning, and monitoring contractor services management. Finally, you effectively develop and implement operating policies, procedures and support program requirements.
