About the Position: Serves as Facilities Equipment Maintenance (FEM) automation expert and FEM system software administrator.
May be filled at the GS-07, GS-08, or GS-09 with full performance GS-09.
Duties
Oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance control program and related automated data system at a project office with a significantly large and complex annual maintenance budget.
Performs supply and purchasing duties as needed, in accordance with accepted practices, appropriate guidelines, past practices, and Department of Army and Government regulations.
Assures all necessary technical information from the technical library and automated system are available to work crews.
Compiles, prepares and generates various reports, records, statistics, listings, charts and graphs, or other PM related information.
Make corrections to accounts using appropriate approval forms and proper account numbers.
Analyzes equipment manuals and contractor recommendations and conducts discussions with maintenance personnel to verify or correct data.
Initiates requisitions for office supplies, safety gear for office personnel, stock items for project warehouse and other items required by employees for specific reasons.
Approving Officer for verification and submission on a monthly basis.
Arranges transportation with trucking companies and also prepares and loads materials and equipment for safe shipment.

GS-07 Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent at the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience must include facility maintenance, oversight and inspections and administration.
GS-08 Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent at the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience must include assisting supervisor in conducting facility maintenance, oversight, inspections and administrative requirements to obtain accurate description of work requested and to determine best course of action. Assisting in the preparation of work and service orders for maintenance and repair. Experience using and/or administration of data base systems including asset management and reporting.
GS-09 Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent at the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience must include assisting supervisor in conducting facility maintenance, oversight, inspection and administrative requirements to obtain accurate description of work requested and to determine best course of action. Assisting in the preparation of work and service orders for maintenance and repair project by articulating orally and in writing the justification of all maintenance and repair policies, internal facilities detail such as service contract and equipment repair. Knowledge to apply the full range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning facilities and equipment operations sufficient to plan, coordinate, direct, and monitor facility operations to determine facility and grounds maintenance and repair needs. Experience using and/or administration of data base systems including asset management and reporting.
