This vacancy is for a Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment (SASH) Program Manager in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration (DASA). In this position you will build and continuously improve a Department-wide approach to SASH prevention and response, including overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of that approach.

Duties

As a Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Program Manager, you will perform the following duties: Establish, revise, and review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and strategic plans to support the SASH and Departmental organizational needs. Create, revise, and support systematic-wide prevention efforts, training and awareness events, and campaigns. Consult with key stakeholders across the Department on SASH-related topics and initiatives to ensure prevention efforts and training are coordinated to promote and incorporate evidence-based practices and learning objectives. Identify existing or potential risk and protective factors that could lead to problematic/destructive behaviors and recommend preventive measures. Gather and use data to support the development and implementation of prevention initiatives and incorporate measures of effectiveness in the primary prevention of SASH incidents. Qualifications

Qualification requirements in the vacancy announcements are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook, which contains federal qualification standards. This handbook is available on the Office of Personnel Management's website located at: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/ This position is being filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). The system replaced the Federal GS pay plan structure. Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band. Non-supervisory positions cap out at interval 3 of the band. The ZA-4 is equivalent to the GS-13/14 grade levels. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. To qualify at the ZA-04 level, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 (or equivalent pay band) level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: Developing strategies in compliance with the laws and policies governing sexual assault and sexual harassment and the prevention of and response to sexual assault and other acts of interpersonal violence. Managing programs or providing training on sexual assault/ harassment prevention and response initiatives. Implementing programs, policies, and guidelines to address sexual assault prevention and response initiatives. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
