The primary purpose of this position, GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2001-09, POTENTIAL GS-11 is to serve as the primary Exchangeable Production Support Center material support coordinator for long-range, mid-range, and short-term material support planning. Responsible for ensuring material provisions for all workloads are supportable.
Duties
Serve as the Fixer/EPSC Chief Point of Contact (POC) for potential critical material problems on established workloads.
In conjunction with applicable customers, review initial supportability issues for the Fixer/EPSC Chief.
Review all aspects of material supportability to include available resources needed to execute the workload within specified time frames.
Provide support to EPSC/Fixer on high priority work stoppage items that the Retail manger (RM) and/or Supply Technicians have been unable to resolve.
Prepare reports and provide briefings on study findings to all levels of involved management, contractors, program managers, and external audit agencies.

GS-09
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes working with inventory management concepts, principles, and techniques; sources of supply and the procurement processes; and/or storage, issue, distribution, and disposal processes and techniques. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
OR
EDUCATION: Applicant has successfully completed a master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: ???????Applicant has equivalent combinations of successfully completed in excess of 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement and specialized experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. GS-11
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes planning and coordinating material actions with personnel involved in a variety of production support function to assure proper repair support to meet flow day requirements; and/or analyzing and determining the impact of changes in production schedules, conflicting requirements, unprogrammed requirements, etc. for both on-going and new program requirements. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-???????09 level. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-???????11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. Due to the use of 120 day rosters, applicants within 120 days of completion of TIG requirements are encouraged to apply.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Extensive knowledge of a broad range of supply program relationships, inventory management principals, procedures, techniques, and practices.
Knowledge of automated supply records and control systems, material substitution criteria; and storage, issues, and disposal processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and funding programs/processes.
Ability to plan, schedule, and take corrective action to meet emergency and regular workload requirements.
Knowledge of production material requirements, work sequences, machinery facility and industrial processes.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is normally sedentary and is usually accomplished while the incumbent is comfortably seated at a desk or table. Some walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs and carrying of light objects may occur in the course of a normal workday. There may be extended periods of working under the pressure of time constraints.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is primarily performed in an office-like setting involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences, and private or commercial vehicles. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
