Duties

You will be responsible for the release and management if work orders according to the Master Production Schedule utilizing applicable web-based systems for the workload within your area of responsibility. You will be responsible for the management of new parts required for the assigned workload to include forecasting, procuring, issuing, and determining excess. You will ensure that all new parts inventory and associated transactions have the appropriate project code assigned. You will perform necessary research on materials using technical manuals to include the internet. You will be responsible for the timely close out of work orders as work is completed and for the communication of action taken when project are being closed out. You will report current work status on all workload and elevate current production problems and predicting future problems. You will be required to conduct research to provide input of cost estimates.

• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to frequently carry loads/items of 30 pounds and lift and/or carry loads/items up to 75 pounds in weight with assistance.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks including providing a schedule of workload for the shop, releasing work to the shop, monitoring and providing status on work in the shop, initiating the procurement process for new parts in support of the workload, issuing parts to the shop, and the management of the work in process (WIP) in their shop. I am considered an expert or I am consulted by other employees in difficult situations.
