The position is located in the DoD Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG), Deputy Inspector General for Administrative Investigations (DIG-AI) Front Office component in Alexandria, VA. The incumbent is part of a team of Investigative Analysts to represent the interests of AI in both internal Defense Case Activity Tracking System Enterprise (D-CATSe) component operations and the employment and sustainment of D-CATSe, the enterprise-wide case management system, to the other major DoD components.
Duties
Participates in the enterprise-wide case management system current operations and the development and testing of D-CATSe to ensure the functionality required for investigative work and case management.
Maintains communications with directorate Case Management System Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to stay abreast of D-CATSe workflow processes and issues. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of DoD OIG Administrative Investigation processes.
Represents the interests of the directorate to the other major DoD components, including identifying and testing requirements to develop functionalities of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM)-based system.
Participates in discussions on complex case management system issues with case management system subject matter and technical experts, cultivating vital contacts among the wider user community to coordinate plans, work, and resolve differences.
Coordinates with future DoD Component D-CATSe users to understand their case management business processes, identify their reporting and case management requirements, to have a working knowledge of their database system in preparation for onboarding.
Provides technical support and subject matter expertise to support future DoD Component D-CATSe users to include assisting with developing and delivering training, developing user guides and customized dashboards.
Acts as a liaison with newly on-boarded users.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- This position has been designated as Noncritical Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see http://www.sss.gov).
- Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.
- Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
- Applicants who have held a non-temporary General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the time-in-grade restriction.
- The incumbent must adhere to the DoD Standards of Conduct.
Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-13 grade level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the federal service or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated work experience related to the case management system that accurately reflect and support the components' business processes. Experience also includes providing technical support to component personnel on the case management system, including developing and delivering training, user guides, reports, and customized dashboards; identifying system errors requiring correction; identifying data entry errors and ensuring they are corrected. Must also have experience developing statistical reports for stakeholders; and testing functionality in the development and maintenance of the enterprise-wide CRM-based case management system.
